A minor child came to us due to a removal proceeding against her in the immigration court after she was brought into the United States on a tourist visa by a stranger. After discussing with her parents, we found out that this child could be eligible to a T visa designed for victims of human trafficking. We were able to continue her removal proceedings by filing a timely T visa application. After a few months, her T visa was granted along with her parents as eligible derivatives. A few years later, the whole family obtained permanent residence of the United States.
